Why A.G. Fabrics Is the Custom Uniform Manufacturer in Canada Buyers Call First

A.G. Fabrics has manufactured uniforms for Canadian buyers since 1996, working with security firms, hotel groups, healthcare suppliers, schools and industrial contractors from Vancouver to Halifax. Canada is a demanding market for uniforms because one order often has to work in three climates: a Toronto summer at 30C, a Prairie winter at -30C, and a wet coastal spring in between. That is why we build programs around fabric weight and layering rather than a single garment spec. Our team handles bulk uniform manufacturing and wholesale supply for distributors who resell into Canada, plus OEM and private label uniform manufacturing for brands that need their own labels, hangtags and polybags. Every order runs through the same sequence: fabric approval, pattern development, a sealed sample, then bulk cutting and stitching. You get one point of contact, one spec sheet, and a shipment that matches the sample you signed off.

Canadian buyers come to Faisalabad for two reasons: price and capacity. A 2,000-piece order that would take a domestic contractor three months can run through our lines in five to six weeks. We serve Canada because the demand is steady and the specs are clear. Security companies need navy and black poly-cotton that holds colour after 50 washes. Hotels need front-of-house garments that survive commercial laundry. Construction contractors need hi-vis that meets CSA Z96 class requirements. Each of those is a different fabric, a different stitch density and a different finishing line, and we run all of them.

Every service below ships to Canada, whether you are ordering 100 pieces for a single site or 20,000 for a national rollout. Canadian buyers most often ask us for bulk uniform manufacturing and wholesale supply, OEM and private label programs, and made-to-measure workwear for staff who fall outside standard size charts. Tell us the end use, the climate the garment has to work in, and the quantity, and we will quote fabric options with weights and finishes.

Custom Uniform ManufacturingCustom Uniform ManufacturingWe build uniforms to your spec for Canadian security firms, hotels, clinics and contractors. Send a tech pack or a worn sample and we reverse-engineer the pattern, match the fabric weight and stitch density, and produce a sealed sample for approval before bulk. Typical Canadian orders run 500 to 5,000 pieces per style.View details →Experienced Custom Uniform Manufacturer professionals at workBulk Uniform Manufacturing and Wholesale SupplyCanadian distributors and uniform rental operators order from us in bulk because we hold stock fabrics and can repeat a run without re-approving the spec. Minimum order is 100 pieces per style and colour. We ship consolidated cartons to Vancouver, Toronto or Montreal ports, or air freight when a client is up against a contract start date.View details →A.G. Fabrics serving Faisalabad, PunjabOEM and Private Label Uniform ManufacturingCanadian brands sell our garments under their own label. Artwork files stay with your account, and we hold the plates and screens for reorders so your second run matches your first.View details →A.G. Fabrics serving Faisalabad, PunjabCustom Uniform Stitching and TailoringFor Canadian clients who supply cut fabric or need alterations on imported stock, we run stitching and tailoring lines. That covers bar-tacking stress points, twin-needle side seams, reinforced pocket mouths and cuff finishing. Fabrics serving Faisalabad, PunjabMade-to-Measure Uniform ManufacturingCanadian airlines, hotels and security firms use made-to-measure for staff who fall outside standard sizing. We take measurements from your size chart or your own fit sheet and cut individual garments. Turnaround runs 10 to 15 days longer than a bulk order, and we keep each person's measurements on file for repeat orders and replacements.View details →Uniform Design and Pattern Development you can count onUniform Design and Pattern DevelopmentIf you have a sketch and no pattern, we develop it. Our pattern team in Faisalabad drafts the block, grades it across your full size range, and marks the seam allowances and notch points. Canadian buyers usually ask for grading across XS to 5XL, which we cut as separate blocks rather than scaling a single pattern up.View details →Professional Uniform Sampling and Prototype Development in FaisalabadUniform Sampling and Prototype DevelopmentWe cut a physical sample and ship it to Canada before bulk starts. Standard sample turnaround is 7 working days plus courier time. You wear-test it, wash it, and mark any changes. FabricsCustom Uniform CuttingOur cutting floor handles lay depths up to 60 plies on a single spread, with CAD nesting to keep fabric waste under 8%. For Canadian orders with mixed size ratios, we cut to your ratio rather than a flat distribution, so you are not sitting on 200 smalls and no 3XL. Every bundle is ticketed by size and style.View details →Stitching and FinishingStitching and FinishingFinishing covers thread trimming, button and snap attachment, bartack reinforcement, pressing, folding and polybagging. Canadian retail and rental clients often need garments folded to a specific dimension with a size sticker on the outside of the bag. More than a service list

How Custom Uniform Manufacturing Runs for Canada Orders

A Canada order runs through six gates: spec review, fabric approval, pattern and sample, bulk cutting, stitching and finishing, then packing and shipment. Spec review takes two to three days. Fabric approval depends on w

One order must work across three Canadian climates

A uniform program for a national Canadian client often covers a Vancouver store, a Toronto office and a Winnipeg yard. A single fabric weight will not work across all three, so the order has to be split into climate-appropriate builds.

How we help: We split the program by region and build a layered system: lightweight poly-cotton for coastal and summer wear, brushed flannel and insulated liners for Prairie and Northern sites. Each layer is a separate style with its own pattern block, so the fit stays consistent across the range.

Colourfastness after commercial laundry cycles

Canadian uniform rental operators wash garments at 60C or higher, dozens of times per garment life. Cheap dye lots fade to grey within months, and the client's brand colour disappears.

How we help: We specify reactive-dyed fabrics and test colourfastness at 40C and 60C before we commit a bulk run. For rental contracts we hold the dye lot on file and supply the test report with the shipment, so the operator knows what wash cycle the garment will survive.

Size range that runs XS to 5XL

Canadian workforces are broader in size than most standard Asian size charts assume. Scaling one pattern up to 5XL produces a garment that fits badly at the shoulder and armhole.

How we help: We cut separate pattern blocks for the large end of the range rather than grading a single block. That means a 4XL shirt has a properly proportioned shoulder and sleeve, not a stretched medium. We keep every block on file so reorders match.

Custom Uniform Manufacturing Pricing for Canada Orders

Typical 2026 pricing for Canadian orders depends on fabric, quantity, style count and decoration. As a guide, a basic poly-cotton work shirt runs CAD 12 to 22 per piece at 1,000 units, a hi-vis vest with reflective tape runs CAD 9 to 16, and an FR coverall with certified fabric runs CAD 55 to 95. Embroidery adds CAD 1.50 to 4.00 per garment depending on stitch count. Sea freight from Karachi to a Canadian port adds roughly CAD 0.60 to 1.20 per garment on a full container, and air freight multiplies that by eight to twelve. Bulk uniform manufacturing and wholesale supply pricing drops sharply once you cross 2,000 pieces per style, because setup, sampling and freight are spread across more units.

We quote within 24 hours on a clear spec and can turn a sample in 7 working days. Bulk production runs 25 to 40 days, then sea freight adds four to six weeks to Canada or air freight four to seven days. Our Faisalabad office works Pakistan Standard Time, which is nine to twelve hours ahead of Canada, so we schedule calls in your morning and our evening. For urgent contract deadlines we run air freight and staged shipments.

01Fabric type and weight

Standard poly-cotton at 180gsm is the cheapest option and covers most work shirts and trousers. Certified FR fabric, hi-vis fluorescent cloth and wool blends for aviation uniforms cost two to four times more per metre. Fabric is usually 55% to 70% of the garment cost, so it is the single biggest lever on your quote.

03Decoration and finishing

Embroidery, screen printing, reflective tape, custom buttons, woven labels and individual polybagging all add cost. A chest logo in 8,000 stitches is a different price from a full back print. Bilingual labelling for Quebec and custom hangtags for OEM clients are quoted separately but are inexpensive at volume.

We know the route

How We Navigate Canada for Client Visits and Shipments

Our Canadian clients are spread across the country, so we plan site visits and sample drop-offs around the major hubs. When a client in Ontario wants a fit session, we route through Toronto Pearson and work outward from there. For Alberta oil and gas clients, we fly into Calgary and drive the corridor up toward Edmonton. On the coast, Vancouver International is the entry point for BC hospitality and port logistics clients. Knowing where a client sits relative to these hubs tells us which freight route and which courier will get the sample or the shipment there fastest.

Toronto Pearson International Airport

The main entry point for our Ontario client visits and for air freight samples. It sits west of the city with direct highway access to Mississauga, Brampton and the 401 corridor, which is where a large share of our GTA uniform distributors operate.

Port of Vancouver

Canada's largest port and our primary sea freight gateway for western Canada. Containers arriving here clear and move inland by rail to Calgary, Edmonton and Winnipeg, so it sets the transit clock for most Prairie orders.

Port of Montreal

The main eastern gateway for our Quebec and Ontario shipments. It is the shortest sea route into central Canada from Karachi, and it feeds directly into the rail and road network serving Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto.

CN Tower

A fixed downtown Toronto reference point. When a client's office is described as being near the CN Tower or the adjacent Rogers Centre, we know the delivery is going into the downtown core, which affects courier choice and drop-off timing.

“We run a uniform rental operation out of Mississauga and have ordered from A.G. Fabrics four times now. The colourfastness on the navy poly-cotton is the best we have had from any supplier. They held our dye lot and the reorder matched exactly. Production ran 32 days on a 2,500-piece order and the documentation cleared customs without a single query.”

“We needed FR coveralls with CSA Z96 tape for our Alberta crews and the spec had to be exact. A.G. Fabrics sent a sealed sample in a week, and the bulk matched it. The fabric test certificates came with the shipment, which our safety officer needed for the file. Air freight got the first batch to us ahead of the contract start.”

“Our hotel group ordered blazers, housekeeping tunics and waistcoats in a matching burgundy. Three previous suppliers could not match the shade across styles. A.G. Fabrics ran all three on one dye lot and the colour was consistent. They kept our embroidery file and pattern blocks, so our replacement orders two years later still matched.”

Our minimum is 100 pieces per style and colour. That covers most small Canadian security firms, single-site hotels and clinics. For orders above 2,000 pieces per style the per-unit price drops sharply because setup, sampling and freight spread across more units. We quote both quantities so you can compare.

Sea freight from Karachi to a Canadian port runs four to six weeks, plus 25 to 40 days of production. Air freight cuts transit to four to seven days. We quote production and freight as one door-to-door timeline and tell you the latest order date that still hits your deadline.
